At the November 2021 Saanich Sommeliers Club meeting, we welcomed Savannah Robinson as our Program Speaker. The presentation found here covered her experience with ‘all things’ wine.
Savannah studied at the Sommelier Factory in Toronto and Passed her Certified Sommelier examination with the Court of Master Sommeliers in the summer of 2019. She gained hands-on experience working as a Sommelier at Rosewood Estates Winery in Niagara, and at Ten Minutes by Tractor on the Mornington Peninsula in Australia. She’s currently enrolled in a vineyard soils course through the Wine Scholar Guild.
This past season she worked at Rathjen Cellars on the Saanich Peninsula in many aspects of life on a vineyard: planting, soil care and maintenance, harvesting, marketing and as site sommelier in the tasting room.
